Bright Hopes

Animals on the go are featured in a girl or boy version. The block used is called Bright Hopes. It was originally published by Farm Journal in the early 20th century. I love it for its very name! But it does have an added bonus – there are only 4 intersecting seams in a 9 block quilt – the 4 at the center where your rows come together! While it does have that tricky Y seam, sewing your blocks together is a dream come true! The backing material is a cuddly flannel.
